UPDATE: Man Who Took Money From Walmart Customer Returns Money
Vestavia Police are trying to identify a man who took $100 from a customer at the Walmart on Highway 31.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - Vestavia Police Department detectives sent out a social media message Friday in hopes of identifying a man who $100 from a customer at the Walmart Marketplace on Highway 31. Since then, that man has returned the money.
On March 14, a victim reported that they got $100 back in change at the self checkout at the the Walmart Marketplace on Highway 31. The victim was distracted and left without collecting the change. The suspect was recorded by security cameras taking the victim's money and placing it in his pocket.
