Vestavia Police Seeks Suspect In Hit And Run Case

The VHPD seeks the driver of a vehicle that left a wreck at the intersection of Acton Road and Caldwell Mill Road Tuesday.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Vestavia Hills Police Department is seeking the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of a wreck at the intersection of Acton Road and Caldwell Mill Road this week. The two-vehicle crash happened between 6:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the suspect vehicle - a black, newer model, Ford Fusion - turned right from Acton Road onto Caldwell Mill Road and struck the victim's vehicle., a red Subaru Legacy. After the accident, the suspect reportedly pulled her vehicle behind Cahaba Heights Church of Christ before leaving the area on Caldwell Mill Road.

The suspect vehicle was described as having front end damage and fluids leaking. The vehicle was reported to have been driven by a young white female.
