CLARKSVILLE, TN — Austin Peay State University celebrated last week the high-achieving freshmen who have been offered the Presidential Scholarship and the Provost Out-of-State Scholarship for the Fall 2020 semester. One of those recipients was Vestavia Hills resident Abigail Coulter.

The Presidential Scholarships are for freshman students who have a 3.9 GPA and 30 ACT or 1360 SAT. Additionally, out-of-state students meeting the criteria of a 3.0 GPA and a 21 ACT or 1060 SAT qualify for a Provost Out-of-State Scholarship.

Dr. Rex Gandy, APSU provost, recommended a 43.5 percent out-of-state tuition reduction as a way of improving diversity at the regional university.
