Vestavia School System Releases Dyslexia Awareness Month Calendar
October is International Dyslexia Awareness Month and VEstavia Hills City Schools released its calendar of events for the cause.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and Vestavia Hills City Schools released the system's calendar of events for the cause.
The calendar includes daily educational events, videos, tutorials and more that are aimed at bringing awareness to dyslexia, which is the most common learning disability with 15-20 percent of the population showing symptoms.
"Vestavia Hills City Schools is committed to providing the screening, resources, and supports needed to support our students who exhibit characteristics of dyslexia," the school system stated in a release.
