VHECH Girls On The Run Team Wraps Up Season

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - Finishing a 5K run is an accomplishment on its own for anyone. But when it also represents the completion of a successful season of team-building, social and mental development and hard work, crossing the finish line means even more.

That is the case with the Cahaba Heights Elementary Girls on the Run Team, which finished up its season in November with the completion of the Magic City 5K. Over a period of 10 weeks, girls in the 3rd through 5th grade participate in an after-school program which encourages positive emotional, social, mental and physical development.

In all, 14 girls participated in the program.
