• Walker County data center rumors unconfirmed, officials say (wbrc.com) — West Jefferson’s water system is already lined up to serve a possible industrial project at Heritage Industrial Park in unincorporated Walker County, with capacity starting at 10,000 gallons a day. County leaders stress that rumors of a data center there remain unconfirmed, but say they’re eager for new development that could boost tax revenue and road funding.
