  1. An Anchorage woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for stabbing her 3-year-old daughter to death. Back in 2019, Kelsey Jackson, who is now 27, "was undergoing a mental health episode when she killed her daughter, Brooklyn Jackson." According to reports, Jackson was allegedly trying to take her own life the day she stabbed her daughter. Since then, she is focused on treating her substance use and mental health issues.   2. The University Of Alaska Anchorage is encouraging everyone to get boosted against the flu and COVID-19 before spring break starts. The UAA Student Health and Counseling Center will be hosting a vaccination clinic on Mar. 1. This event is for UAA students, faculty, and staff. For more details, please read the full article.   3. Sitka Democratic Representative Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins broke his leg in a paragliding accident from Flattop Mountain this past Saturday. According to reports, he broke two bones in his right leg after a crash landing. Since then, he has undergone surgery and believes he will be ready to go back to Juneau by Wednesday. Unfortunately, he will be using crutches for at least the next six weeks. (Anchorage Daily News)
