Here are the top three stories in Anchorage today:

  1. The University Of Alaska Anchorage is looking for participants to help with their one-thousand origami cranes project. Participants are needed to fold and stack 10 origami cranes and submit a photo of themselves with their stacked cranes. Submissions are due Feb. 25 and will be used to create a digital collage to be published on March 11, the 11th anniversary of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Ed Hill will be returning to Alaska this weekend for a pair of shows in Anchorage and Wasilla. The Taiwanese-Canadian comic's Amazon and Apple TV special "Candy & Smiley" was listed among the top 15 comedy specials of 2021. Hill will be performing on Feb. 26 at Koot’s in Anchorage. (Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman)
  3. An Alaska physical therapist is a trusted asset of the U.S. Ski Team. Zuzana Rogers is one of about 20 Americans working with the team behind the scenes to help the Olympians recover from injuries, strains, and the inevitable tweaks that crop up over two-and-a-half intense weeks of racing. Back home, Rogers operates an Anchorage physical therapy clinic for 11 months out of the year that caters to runners and skiers. (Yahoo)
