Alaska Unlocked: In-state tuition for all students beginning fall 2027 (alaska.edu) — Starting in fall 2027, students at UAA's Anchorage campus and other UA sites will all pay the in-state tuition rate, regardless of where they come from. For full-time nonresident students in Anchorage, that could mean saving more than $7,000 per semester while keeping access to existing financial aid, a major shift aimed at boosting affordability and keeping graduates working in Alaska.

Faux Flora blooms at the Anchorage Museum (alaskasnewssource.com) — Anchorage residents can now explore "Faux Flora," a new multi-sensory exhibition at the Anchorage Museum that lets you see, hear, and even smell imaginary flowers. Created by Reykjavík art collective Fischersund, the show links each invented bloom to a stage of human life and will be on view in the third-floor west galleries through September 12, 2027.
