- Currently, police are investigating a death that took place this past Sunday morning in a neighborhood in Northeast Anchorage. According to a community alert, police responded to reports of an adult male that died near 1800 Kalgin Street around 9:00 a.m. yesterday. As of right now, a medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death. (Alaska's News Source)
- This past Saturday marked the last full day of winter, and the weather has definitely been reflecting that. In the past, normal high temperatures for March were in the low thirties; however, a new record was set last Saturday. The temperature on Saturday was 47 degrees, which trumps the previous record of 43 degrees. According to reports, the warm trend will continue. (Alaska's News Source)
- On Saturday morning, a woman walking along Fifth Avenue near downtown Anchorage was struck by a pickup truck and killed. According to police reports, the woman was in or near a crosswalk at Karluk Street when the incident took place. When medics arrived, she was declared dead on the scene. Currently, everyone is cooperating in the investigation at this time. (Anchorage Daily News)
