• Federal grant to support Bus 142 exhibits (deltadiscovery.com) — A new $300,000 federal grant will help the University of Alaska Museum of the North in Fairbanks create indoor and outdoor exhibits for the famous "Into the Wild" Bus 142. The bus will be displayed in a forested outdoor pavilion on UAF's Troth Yeddha' campus, giving Fairbanks residents year-round access while connecting the story to broader Alaska history and landscapes.
   

• The ride to Tuk from Fairbanks! (newsminer.com) — A Fairbanks grandfather, his son-in-law, and two teenage grandsons rode motorcycles from Fairbanks to Tuktoyaktuk this July, tackling gravel, cold, and mosquitoes along the Dempster Highway. The family, already veterans of the Dalton, call it a once-in-a-lifetime ride and encourage others in Fairbanks to experience Alaska and Canada's dramatic scenery if they get the chance.
