• Crews hope to contain wildfire near Haines by Sunday (khns.org) — Fire crews are working to contain the human-caused Boulder Fire burning near the Haines Highway, which has already prompted high wildfire danger ratings and a suspension of local burn permits. Eight firefighters, helicopters, and local departments are focused on stopping downhill spread toward nearby structures. Residents are urged to avoid the Klehini Valley fire area, including with aircraft and drones.
