• Native corporations expand investment in cruise ship tourism (wrangellsentinel.com) — Cruise tourism in Klawock is ramping up fast, with 60 mostly small and mid-size ships scheduled to call at the new Klawock facility this year, up from just a few in 2024. Local village corporation Klawock Heenya and partners Huna Totem and Doyon are building out the Klawock Island Ventures destination, while also pursuing major cruise projects in Juneau and Whittier.
