• "I was speechless," Kodiak KINDNESS receives big check (kmxt.org) — Kotzebue residents may soon see more support for new parents, as Kodiak KINDNESS has hired a peer counselor from Kotzebue to help expand its infant-feeding and family services into the Northwest Arctic. A surprise $350,000 donation from Credit Union 1 and a partner bank will cover nearly two years of operations, allowing the nonprofit to grow staff and stabilize its statewide programs.
