• Alaska Legislature considers exempting some Native corporations from public disclosure (newsfromthestates.com) — Nome residents are represented directly in a new state bill from Rep. Neal Foster that could limit which Alaska Native village corporations must publicly disclose financial information. A late Senate amendment would exempt some smaller corporations from state reporting rules, restricting public access while keeping shareholders informed. The measure has cleared a key committee and is headed toward a Senate vote.
