• First Lady Rose Dunleavy Recognizes 2026 First Lady's Volunteer Awards Recipients (alaska.gov) — A North Pole resident, Keeley Goward, has been named one of seven Alaskans receiving the 2026 First Lady’s Volunteer Award for nearly two decades of youth and village outreach. Her work through This Generation Ministries, youth camps, and church support is highlighted alongside other honorees from Anchorage, Eagle River, Soldotna, and Sitka. 
• Dalton Highway toll proposal stalls in Alaska Senate committee (newsfromthestates.com) — A North Pole-based state senator helped stall a proposed toll on oil and gas traffic along the Dalton Highway, arguing it’s not the right fix for Alaska’s budget needs. Lawmakers heard strong pushback from trucking and energy representatives, and the Senate State Affairs committee set the bill aside for now while legal, economic, and fairness concerns are reviewed.
