• Subsistence salmon schedule announced by ADF&G (knom.org) — Subsistence salmon fishing in the Shaktoolik and Unalakleet subdistricts will close starting June 15, as ADF&G moves to protect weak king salmon runs. You’ll still be able to target other salmon later by beach seining, under new gear rules designed to reduce king bycatch. The article also explains which subdistricts require permits and how restrictions may change mid-season.
