The infant - known only as 'Baby Girl Jackson" was born in February in Las Vegas. Her parents are in jail in Arizona.

The infant known as "Baby Girl Jackson" was born in February at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Her parents are in jail in Kingman, Arizona. No one knows where the baby girl is. That has sparked a search across three states for information.

"We hope that someone comes forward with information," says Steve Auld of the Mohave County Attorney's office. (Subscribe to local news alerts on Patch).

Auld says that the Arizona Department of Child Services started a child abuse prove into 33-year-year-old Octavia Jackson and 37-year-old Nicholios Nealy more than one-year-ago.

The couple have said that they are married and have three children: two girls, ages 12 and 13, and a boy, aged eight.

Those children were ordered to be placed under the control of the state at a hearing in April. At the hearing it was disclosed that Jackson had given birth to the girl in Las Vegas on February 10.

Jackson and Nealy have refused to say what happened ot the girl or where she is.

Jackson was jailed for contempt last month for refusing to answer questions about the girl.

Nealy was jailed earlier this week for refusing to cooperate.

Auld says that before moving to Las Vegas, the couple had been living in the San Diego area. He says it's not clear if they were in the city or surrounding area.

Anyone with information about the child is urged to call the Arizona Department of Child Services at 928-753-8819.
