Investigators say surveillance video and a monitored phone call supported the allegations, and the suspect is now held on a $250,000 bond. Court records show a prior criminal history as the case moves toward a hearing later this month. 
• Toddler in critical condition after being found in backyard pool in Chandler (azfamily.com) — A 3-year-old is in critical condition after family members pulled the child from a backyard pool at a home near Alma School and Pecos in Chandler Friday evening. Firefighters and police continued CPR before transporting the toddler to the hospital, and detectives are now investigating how the child ended up in the water and whether safety measures were in place.
