Authorities say a Mesa dental assistant previously pleaded guilty in a related case, and both men now face civil lawsuits. 3. WATCH: CUSD school board approves lease for new behavioral health non-profit (abc15.com) — Chandler Unified’s governing board has approved a new lease so behavioral health nonprofit Cranes for Change can quickly reopen services at the former Hope Institute site near Perry High, keeping counseling and crisis support close for local students. The center, to be called the Next Steps Center, still needs state licensing, but CUSD is sharing therapist contacts for students needing immediate help.

Judge: Phoenix police can discipline cop who attended Hamilton High protest (ktar.com) — Chandler police officers and a Chandler sergeant played a key role in defusing a tense protest confrontation near Hamilton High, escorting an off-duty Phoenix sergeant away and arresting a student accused of throwing water. A federal judge has now allowed Phoenix Police to move forward with potential discipline against that sergeant, saying it’s too early to know if he’ll be fired while his broader lawsuit continues.

I’m considering a casual pizza meet & greet at Barro’s Pizza in Chandler, date and time still to be determined.
