• Arizona grants $55K to boost rural wildfire crews statewide (kvoa.com) — Concho Fire Department is among several small rural agencies statewide receiving new state grant funding to buy wildfire gear and training, strengthening protection for local homes and rangeland. The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management awarded $55,000 total to 13 departments, all serving communities under 10,000 people and relying mostly on volunteers.
