• Northbound SR 87 closed near Fountain Hills due to new Picadilla Fire (azfamily.com) — Northbound State Route 87 is closed near milepost 209, about 20 miles north of Fountain Hills, because of the new Picadilla Fire, with no estimated time to reopen. Fire crews have stopped the blaze’s forward progress, but Fountain Hills drivers heading toward Payson or the Rim should expect delays and check AZ511 for real-time updates. 
• Fountain Hills Theater Presents Annie the Musical! (businessdailynetwork.com) — Fountain Hills Theater is staging the classic musical “Annie” from July 17 through August 9, with Friday and Saturday evening shows and Sunday matinees on Saguaro Boulevard. Local families can grab discounted youth, senior, veteran, and group tickets, with the box office open Tuesday through Saturday for reservations and more details.
