The visit from meteorologist Jorge Torres highlighted how these mostly nonverbal fifth- and sixth-graders express big personalities and model inclusive, respectful communication for the wider Gilbert community.
   

• Woman accused of stealing from Gilbert High orchestra booster club (azcentral.com) — Gilbert residents may want to know that the former treasurer of the Gilbert High School orchestra booster club is accused of misusing more than $5,000 in booster funds, including cash withdrawals and personal purchases. Police say discrepancies surfaced after an internal audit, and the woman faces a felony theft charge with an initial court appearance set for Oct. 30.
