📰 News we're reading

• Kearny is a young town for Arizona, but its mining roots run deep (azcentral.com) — Kearny's unique history as a planned mining town, created in the 1950s to house residents displaced by the expanding Ray Mine, still shapes daily life here. Set between the Tortilla and Dripping Springs mountains, the town now blends deep copper-mining roots with outdoor recreation, from ATV riding and rockhounding to fishing and picnicking along the Gila River.
