City of Kingman Calls for Applications for Economic Development Advisory Commission Vacancy (thebee.news) — Kingman residents have a chance to help shape the city’s economic future by applying for a vacancy on the Economic Development Advisory Commission, with applications due June 29. The partial term runs through December 31, 2028, and the City Council plans to appoint a new member at its July 7 meeting.
   

2. Kingman and U.S senators urge FAA to move forward with land release at the Kingman Airport (kjzz.org) — Kingman officials are pressing the FAA to release 790 acres at Kingman Municipal Airport so the city can expand its industrial park and attract roughly $250 million in investment. After the FAA rejected earlier appraisals and proposed a higher land value, Arizona’s U.S. senators urged the agency to stop delaying, while city leaders seek a compromise that preserves airport operations.
   

3. Fundraising drive launched for memorial bench honoring Cancer Care pioneer (thestandardnewspaper.online) — A local nonprofit is raising funds for a memorial bench outside the Kingman Cancer Care Unit to honor beloved volunteer and founding member Doris Power. The tribute recognizes her decades of service to cancer patients and Kingman schools, and donations of any size can be mailed directly to the organization’s Kingman post office box.
   

4. This mine near Kingman sold for $10 million. More companies are looking to tap into Arizona ore (kjzz.org) — A long-idle family-owned silver mine 27 miles northeast of Kingman just sold for $10 million, signaling renewed interest in local mineral resources. State mining officials say federal supply-chain policies and demand for minerals used in batteries and microchips are driving a broader surge of new mining investment and exploration across Arizona.
