• Data centers proposed south of Maricopa (roselawgroupreporter.com) — A massive Arizona Independent Technology Campus with data centers, manufacturing, and energy facilities is being proposed just south of Maricopa, on more than 1,500 acres near Porter and Barnes roads. Pinal County officials have reviewed the concept in work sessions but haven’t voted yet, meaning Maricopa residents could soon see major economic and land-use changes taking shape nearby.
   

• Maricopa entertainment center gets a name — MADCAPS (azbigmedia.com) — Maricopa’s planned indoor-outdoor entertainment center at Copper Sky Regional Park now has a name: MADCAPS, with new renderings showing bowling, mini golf, karting, arcade games, and dining under one roof. Developers say it’s designed as a year-round destination for Maricopa residents and visitors from across Maricopa and Pinal counties, with updates available online as the project advances.
   

• Centennial, Mountain View top HS football schedule. Republic's picks (azcentral.com) — Maricopa High’s football team is set to travel to Casa Grande for a Thursday night matchup on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., part of a packed statewide slate of high school games. The schedule highlights key contests across Arizona, giving Maricopa fans a clear look at when and where their team and regional rivals will be playing this week.
