Today's riddle: How do you measure a snake? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Watchdog gives ‘C' to 3 of Mesa's 4 hospitals (themesatribune.com) — Four major Mesa hospitals just received new safety grades, with Dignity Health-Arizona General Hospital earning the city’s only ‘A’ while Banner Desert, Banner Baywood, and HonorHealth Four Peaks all scored ‘C’s from watchdog Leapfrog. The report breaks down where each facility excels or falls short on infections, errors, and communication, helping Mesa residents make more informed choices about where to seek care.

• TEGNA Foundation (insidephilanthropy.com) — Mesa gets a brief but meaningful nod here: TEGNA’s foundation has previously funded United Food Bank of Mesa as part of its hunger and emergency assistance focus. While grantmaking is currently paused after TEGNA’s acquisition, the foundation says it will keep supporting partners through awareness and volunteer projects, and its past giving highlights education, journalism, racial equity, and basic needs nationwide.
