• Hurricane Polo Sends Heavy Rains Flooding Into US Southwest (rollingout.com) — Moisture from Hurricane Polo is driving widespread flooding across the Southwest, and north of Phoenix a truck in the New River area was swept off in a wash, though the driver escaped safely. The broader storm has drenched Arizona, New Mexico, and beyond, turning normally dry desert channels into dangerous torrents and pushing flood risks east into Texas and the Plains.
