Animals And Hot Weather: Arizona Humane Society Warns People To Be Careful
The humane society offers the story of Bruce, a border collie whose paws were burned.
Meet Bruce. He is a Border Collie and was found running along the 202 Red Mountain freeway a couple of weeks ago. The temperature was 108. On the pavement, though, it was 160 degrees.
Bruce's paws were blistered and burned from running on the hot pavement.
He was brought to the Arizona Humane Society and, after two weeks of treatment, he can walk on all four paws again.
