AutoNation Donates $100,000 to Phoenix Children's at Family Fun Day Event
Donation will help send 100 children to Camp Rainbow, Phoenix Children's free, medically supervised summer camp for pediatric cancer patient
AutoNation Associates from 20 stores across Arizona welcomed Phoenix Children's patients, families, and community members to a Family Fun Day at AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM North Phoenix. The day was filled with games, food trucks, raffle prizes and activities, including face painting, a bounce house, dunk tank, balloon artist, photo booth, petting zoo, and arts and crafts.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of DRV PNK and more than $50 million raised and donated to drive out cancer, AutoNation presented a $100,000 donation to Phoenix Children’s during Family Fun Day. The donation will help send 100 children to Camp Rainbow, the hospital's free, medically supervised summer camp for pediatric cancer patients and survivors.
At the event, Victor Tanori, Arleyne Bishop, and Sydney Thorp of AutoNation presented the $100,000 donation to Debbie Stantus and Chelsea Hemmons of Phoenix Children’s Foundation. This donation builds on the Company’s longstanding support of Phoenix Children’s, which has included prior donations of more than $150,000 for the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

The event also raised more than $10,000 through ticket and raffle sales, with all proceeds going to Phoenix Children's. Phoenix Children's patients and families were invited to enjoy the event as guests of AutoNation, and all attendees had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of more than 50 prizes.
"We are proud to continue our partnership with Phoenix Children's through moments like this Family Fun Day, which bring joy, connection, and support to patients and families facing cancer," said James Bazuik, Market President at AutoNation. "Knowing that this donation will allow 100 patients to enjoy a traditional summer camp experience at Camp Rainbow is incredibly meaningful. Creating moments of hope, support, and normalcy for children and families affected by cancer is what DRV PNK has stood for over the past decade."

The donation is one of ten $100,000 grants AutoNation is making to longtime cancer partners nationwide in recognition of a decade of DRV PNK, AutoNation’s commitment to advancing cancer research and supporting patients, survivors, and caregivers.
“AutoNation has been a valued partner to Phoenix Children’s for many years, and their continued commitment to children and families across Arizona is truly meaningful,” said Debbie Stantus, Senior Director of Corporate Development at Phoenix Children’s Foundation. “This generous gift will provide over 100 children the opportunity to attend Camp Rainbow, where they can enjoy all the fun and adventure of summer camp while receiving the specialized care they need. Together, we’re creating moments of joy, connection, and hope for families navigating a cancer diagnosis.”
