Pedestrian killed in Phoenix after driver has apparent medical emergency (ktar.com) — A 47-year-old man died after being hit by a car Sunday evening near 23rd Avenue and Williams Drive in Phoenix, when the northbound driver apparently suffered a medical emergency and veered onto the sidewalk. Both the pedestrian and driver were taken to the hospital, and police say impairment is not suspected as Vehicular Crimes detectives continue investigating.
