Phoenix has a street network spanning more than 4,800 miles. Between January 2019 and June 2023 the Street Transportation Department will significantly improve, at an unprecedented pace, the condition of the city’s major streets as a part of the voter-approved Transportation 2050 (T2050) plan. Just two years into the APMP, the city is seeing significant results.

Counting all street preservation treatments, including mill and overlay, more than 1,400 miles of streets have received treatment – that is 29 percent, or more than a quarter of all city streets.
