What Phoenix Homeowners Should Know About SRP Window Rebate

If you put off replacing windows until the summer heat broke, October is a good month to look at the numbers. For homes served by SRP, the utility's window replacement rebate pays $3 per square foot of qualifying window. A standard 3 by 5 foot window works out to about $45.
To qualify, SRP requires:
- ENERGY STAR windows with a U-factor of 0.32 or lower and an SHGC of 0.23 or lower
- An applicable NFRC Certified Product Directory (CPD#) for the qualifying window product
- NFRC labels kept for the installed units
- Installation by an Arizona-licensed contractor in the home's conditioned living area
- An existing SRP residential account with permanent SRP electric service for more than one year, since new construction does not qualify
- An application within six months of installation, for installs completed before April 30, 2027
Sliding glass doors that are at least 80 percent glass can qualify. French doors do not.
Two other things changed in 2026. The federal 25C tax credit for windows ended for property placed in service after December 31, 2025, and APS ended its residential rebate programs. Check your electric bill to confirm which utility serves your address.
Builder-grade clear glass misses SRP's thresholds, so ask for the U-factor, SHGC, and applicable NFRC CPD# of the exact units being quoted, in writing. Noble Windows & Doors puts those numbers on every energy-efficient window estimate, and its window replacement cost guide covers how the rebate fits a project budget. Current rebate terms are published on SRP's window replacement rebate page.
