Jeff Flake And Cory Booker Duel At the Capitol (With Snowballs)
Not all fighting between Democrats and Republicans in Washington is ugly. Cory Booker and Jeff Flake showed that fun can also be had.
WASHINGTON, DC – It was like the last scene of Hamilton. Except, of course, instead of pistols, the combatants used snowballs.
With much of Washington snowed in and bipartisan bickering dominating much of the conversation. Sen, Cory Booker, a Democrat from New Jersey, and Jeff Flake, Republican of Arizona, decided to show their colleagues that you can go to war with you colleagues – and still have fun.
The two met outside the Capital for a "snowball duel."

The prize? The loser had to buy pizza for the winner's staff.
Booker entered the duel with, perhaps, too much confidence.

After saying that "Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton had theirs," he went on to tweet:
"A snowball duel. Capitol East Lawn.
Who gets hit most,
buys other’s staff Pizza.
You Snow Who Is Going To Win!
Arizona doesn’t have much snow!"
Turns out Booker was wrong. A bit later, he sent out the message that: "With great ignominy I have to announce I lost the snowball fight 3 to 2.
"I'm buying the pizza for his office . . . . I neglected to tell him though that I am definitely sending a vegan pizza or two."
He also said that he should have known it was a setup. Flake is from Snowflake, Arizona," he wrote.
Flake was a gracious winner, tweeting that: "It wasn’t exactly Hamilton-Burr, or even Trump-Biden, but it was a monumental battle. @CoryBooker’s drop & roll maneuver was legit."
He also sent out a photo of his staff eating the pizza.
It's not Booker's first stab at bipartisan "gamesmanship." Last month he and Montana Republican Sen. Jon Tester played basketball to bring attention to net neutrality.
