Phoenix, Honeywell Aerospace test new tech to prevent aircraft collisions with ground vehicles (kjzz.org) — New collision-avoidance technology will be installed on ground vehicles at Phoenix Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear airports this month, making them the first in the world to test it. The Honeywell-Phoenix partnership aims to give pilots and vehicle drivers crucial extra seconds of warning to prevent runway accidents, boosting safety for airport workers, passengers, and flight crews.

American Airlines chosen for Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl Airport West Terminal (regionalgateway.net) — American Airlines will be the primary carrier at Phoenix Sky Harbor's planned West Terminal, a major piece of the airport's long-range Destination PHX 2050 expansion. City leaders say the project will boost jobs, tourism, and global connections while improving the travel experience for Phoenix residents and visitors who rely on Sky Harbor.
   

3. Phoenix brothers honor mother's memory through charity golf event (fox10phoenix.com) — Two Phoenix brothers organized a charity golf tournament at Legacy Golf Resort to honor their late mother and support families dealing with breast cancer. Held this weekend, the event brought local golfers and supporters together to raise funds and awareness while a wind advisory affected parts of southern and central Arizona.
   

4. AutoNation's $100K donation to Phoenix Children's will help send 100 kids to camp (azfamily.com) — Phoenix families affected by pediatric cancer will see a big boost after AutoNation donated $100,000 to Phoenix Children's, enough to send 100 kids to Camp Rainbow next summer. The gift, announced during a Family Fun Day in Phoenix, supports a free, medically supervised camp where young patients and survivors can enjoy a week of normal childhood fun and connection.
