Body camera video released of fatal Phoenix shooting of 20-year-old man in mental health crisis (fox10phoenix.com) — Phoenix officials have released body-camera footage from a Sept. 6 police shooting in an alley near 18th–19th Avenue and Cheryl Drive, where officers killed 20-year-old Jonathan Delgado during a reported mental health crisis. The incident, now under investigation by state authorities and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, shows officers confronting Delgado with a knife, deploying a Taser, and then firing when he ran toward them.

Phoenix groups team up to bring health care, hot meals to those in need (azfamily.com) — Phoenix residents facing extreme heat and housing instability can now access free mobile medical care, HIV testing, and hot meals right in their neighborhoods through a new partnership between We Feed the People With Love and Spectrum Medical Care Center. The mobile clinic and outreach team visit Phoenix community spots and heat relief sites, bringing health services, water, and harm-reduction supplies directly to people who struggle to reach traditional clinics.

Amado Rodriguez Jr. Dies After Being Struck by Pickup in South Phoenix (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A 66-year-old bicyclist was killed early Monday in a hit-and-run on 16th Street near the Salt River bridge in south Phoenix, and police have arrested the suspected driver. Investigators say the victim, Amado Rodriguez Jr., was struck by a white GMC pickup whose driver fled but was later tracked to Glendale and identified as 32-year-old Jesus Alejandro Cardenas Angulo.

Borderlands Produce Rescue and DoorDash deliver 25,000 orders in Arizona (abc15.com) — Borderlands Produce Rescue and DoorDash have now delivered more than 25,000 boxes of rescued fruits and vegetables across Arizona, including to residents in the Phoenix area. Through DoorDash's Project Dash, volunteers pack produce that Dashers bring directly to people facing transportation or mobility barriers, and locally the program also partners with St. Mary's Food Bank for home deliveries.
