Phoenix Man Charged With Sending Infant Son To Hospital

Robert Resendiz allegedly broke the child's wrist, bruised him, and caused internal injuries. All because the child wouldn't stop crying.

PHOENIX, AZ – A Phoenix man is under arrest, charged with sending his six-month-old son to the hospital. Robert Resendiz, charged with two counts of child abuse, is being held on $250,000 bail.

Police arrived at his home by 12th Street and Camelback Road on Tuesday where they found the child unconscious. They performed CPR until paramedics took over.

They transported him to Phoenix Children's Hospital where doctors diagnosed the child with internal injuries, bruising, and a broken wrist.

Resendiz told police he hurt the child trying to make him stop crying.

He's due back in court on Dec. 27.
