Scottsdale Shooting Death May Be Linked 3 Others: Police
Forensic psychiatrist Steven Pitt, who worked on the JonBenét Ramsey case, was shot to death Thursday. Two paralegals were slain Friday.

SCOTTSDALE — A psychologist and counselor was shot to death over the weekend in Scottsdale and police reportedly believe his killing may be linked to three other slayings — including the death of a forensic psychiatrist who was involved in the JonBenét Ramsey case.
Sgt. Ben Hoster, a spokesman for city police, told reporters the department a shooting at a business complex on East Morgan Trail just after midnight Saturday and found a man dead inside one of the offices. Police identified the victim as 72-year-old Marshall Levine.
"Right now we do not know if the shooting at the business is related to the previous two shootings, but we are working closely with Phoenix police department in all three of these cases," said Hoster.

He added: "We're asking the public to remain vigilant."
The shooting followed three other killings in the Phoenix are over the past few days, which authorities say are connected.

Forensic psychiatrist Steven Pitt was shot to death Thursday near his office in Phoenix, police said. Witnesses told authorities they heard arguing moments before gunshots rang out. The gunman, described as a balding white man with a short brim hat, fled the area.
Then on Friday, two paralegals — identified as Veleria Sharp, 48, and Laura Anderson, — were shot to death at the law office of Burt, Feldman and Grenier.
Scottsdale police said in a statement that the double shooting was related to Pitt's killing.
A $21,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the gunman's capture.
