Tempe Firefighters Honor Captain Kyle Brayer
Captain Brayer was shot and killed while off-duty in Scottsdale on February 4th. The man charged in his death has pleaded not guilty.

PHOENIX, AZ – Tempe firefighters turned out Thursday t hike Camelback Mountain to honor Captain Kyle Brayer who was shot and killed on February 4. Brayer was off-duty and in Scottsdale at the time.
They were joined by firefighters from Phoenix, Chandler, Glendale, and Peoria.
Brayer, a 10-year veteran of the department, frequently hiked Camelback and would bring his crew up there for hikes and workouts. He would often carry sandbags while he hiked.

To honor him, several firefighters carried sandbags on Thursday.
Brayer was shot and killed during an altercation in Old Town Scottsdale.

The man accused of killing him, Herzon Parks, turned himself in the next day.
Parks was in court this week pleading not guilty.
He's due back in court on April 4.
