William Hawkins Fatal Hit And Run: Mesa Police Make Arrest
Two years and two days after William Hawkins was struck and killed by a driver who fled, Mesa police have made an arrest.
MESA, AZ – it was the evening of March 6, 2016 and William Hawkins, Jr., was crossing the 1300 block of West University when his life was ended. A car struck him, killing him.
The driver fled.
Two years and two days later, the Mesa Police Department has announced an arrest.

Police say that 34-year-old Felicia Marie Hernandez is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Detectives found Hernandez after acting on a tip from Silent Witness. Police then conducted forensic tests and interviewed her. Police say during the interview, she admitted her involvement.
