• Public Surveys on the Prescott National Forest (usda.gov) — If you're out enjoying Prescott National Forest, you may see survey workers in orange vests stopping visitors along roads and at recreation sites starting October 1. These brief, voluntary interviews will run through September 2027 to measure how people use the forest and how their visits impact nearby communities, including Prescott's economy.

• NAIA adds four institutions for 27-28 school year (coachad.com) — Yavapai College in Prescott is joining the NAIA for the 2027–28 school year, shifting from junior-college competition into a four-year athletics association. The move aligns the college with other small universities nationwide and could eventually bring new opponents, travel, and visibility for local student-athletes and fans.
