• Deadly Arizona intersection sees crashes triple, police numbers show (azcentral.com) — A dangerous intersection at State Route 24 and Signal Butte Road, right on the Queen Creek–Mesa border, has seen crashes triple since the speed limit was raised, including a recent fatal wreck. Mesa police and state agencies are boosting enforcement and considering engineering fixes, while long-term plans call for separating SR 24 from cross traffic starting in late 2026.
