Thomas Road sewer upgrades pave way for major reconstruction project (arizonadigitalfreepress.com) ā Scottsdale is tearing into Thomas Road now to install a new sewer line and rehab manholes between 64th and 73rd streets, ahead of a full roadway reconstruction. Expect lane restrictions and construction equipment through at least October 2026 as the city boosts wastewater capacity, then follows with new waterlines and a $24.4 million rebuild of Thomas Road from 56th to 73rd streets.

R3 Medical Companies - 726330 - 08/14/2026 (fda.gov) ā A Scottsdale medical company at Dynamite Boulevard and its related entities have received a detailed FDA warning letter over unapproved stem cell and biologic products and significant manufacturing violations. While the firm has paused some operations, the FDA says it's still concerned about past product distribution and compliance gaps, which Scottsdale patients and providers should understand before seeking or offering such treatments.

Popular rock band to play Phoenix Open 2027 concert at Coliseum (fresnobee.com) ā Imagine Dragons and Counting Crows are set to rock TPC Scottsdale's famous 16th hole during the 2027 Concert in the Coliseum on February 6, just before WM Phoenix Open week. With tickets going on sale August 27 and the tournament running February 8ā14 at TPC Scottsdale, local fans can plan early for one of the area's biggest sports-and-music mashups.

Arizona and Colombian authorities emphasize commitment to fighting child sexual exploitation (abc15.com) ā Federal and Colombian authorities met in Scottsdale to reaffirm a joint crackdown on child sexual exploitation that has already led to 35 arrests and multiple life sentences. Officials stressed the hidden online dangers facing children at home and highlighted ongoing cross-border investigations plus DHS' Know2Protect resources to help parents guide safer internet use.

These Arizona restaurants made the Southwest's first Michelin Guide (phoenixnewtimes.com) ā Scottsdale's FnB is in the spotlight as chef Charleen Badman earns one of Michelin's first-ever Mindful Voices awards in the new Southwest guide, celebrating her work and Arizona's farmers and winemakers.
