• Scottsdale Quarter's Fall Concert Series Returns Sept. 26 (citysuntimes.com) — Free Saturday evening concerts are returning to Scottsdale Quarter from Sept. 26 through Nov. 7, bringing seven weeks of live music to The Quad. Local bands will cover everything from rock and country to jazz and '80s hits, with families encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. All shows are free, outdoors, and a relaxed way to enjoy Scottsdale's fall weather.
• See Arizona mine inspector candidates face off at debate (azcentral.com) — Arizona's state mine inspector candidates just faced off at Sneaky Big Studio in Scottsdale, giving local voters a close-up look at Democratic challenger Brian Matlock and Republican incumbent Walter "Les" Presmyk. The photo-focused coverage highlights their debate on August 31, offering Scottsdale residents a visual sense of the statewide race unfolding in their own backyard.
• Vote for The Republic's High School Athletes of the Week, Aug. 24-29 (azcentral.com) — High school sports fans can vote this week on Arizona Republic's athletes of the week, including a runner who just won the Duel in the Desert race in Scottsdale on Aug. 29.
