Scottsdale voters to decide on $375 million school bond measure in November (abc15.com) — Scottsdale voters will decide in November on a $375 million school bond that would upgrade safety, technology, and infrastructure across more than two dozen Scottsdale Unified campuses. If approved, the measure would add about $13 per month in property taxes for a $600,000 home, with supporters arguing it protects neighborhood quality and property values even amid declining enrollment.
2. Scottsdale Arcadia house with 2 kitchens sells for $7.5M. Check it out (fresnobee.com) — Scottsdale dominated metro Phoenix's priciest recent home sales, including a $7.5 million Arcadia-area property with two kitchens, a guesthouse, and Camelback Mountain views. Several other multimillion-dollar deals closed in north Scottsdale communities like Mirabel, Desert Mountain, and Whisper Rock, underscoring the city's status as one of the Valley's most expensive markets.
3. Scottsdale Art Week returning in March (yourvalley.net) — Scottsdale art lovers can already grab early-bird tickets for the third Scottsdale Art Week, returning March 18–21, 2027, to WestWorld of Scottsdale. The four-day fair will fill the North Hall with thousands of works from global galleries, plus special First Look and Opening Night events benefiting Phoenix Art Museum and discounted student admission.
4. Maricopa County measles cases reach 30-year high following Scottsdale pharmacy exposure (azfamily.com) — Scottsdale residents who recently visited the Walgreens at Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard should closely watch for measles symptoms through Sept. 29 after an infected person visited the store. With Maricopa County cases at a 30-year high, health officials urge people to check their vaccination status, call their doctor before seeking care in person, and protect vulnerable neighbors.
5. The Arizona Republic's Top 10 flag football teams, Sept. 21, 2026 (azcentral.com) — Two Scottsdale programs, Desert Mountain and Scottsdale Christian Academy, are both listed as "on the bubble" in The Arizona Republic's latest statewide high school flag football rankings. The list highlights early-season dominance by several Valley teams and invites fans to vote online for who should be No. 1 before the Sept. 24 poll deadline.
