Things are heating up at Chompie’s with the announcement of summer specials, promos and free sampling events.

Beginning Monday, June 1, guests can get into the “Empire State of Mind.” When they purchase an Empire State Platter, guests will receive a free pint of soup to take home. Also beginning June 1, when guests spend $20 or more on their dine-in visit, they will receive 20% off their same-day deli and bakery purchases. These offers are available at all locations.

Samplin’ weekends return! Beginning Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 and taking place at all locations every weekend through Sunday, August 30, guests can enjoy free samples of fresh bakery and bread items from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Samplin’ weekends feature bakery items that are new, popular or only made once a year. Something different is offered every weekend so stop in all summer long!

Triple Point Fridays kick off on Friday, June 5. Guests can rack up their rewards points every Friday after 3 p.m., earning three times the points on dine-in purchases. This offer is valid at all locations.

Chula Seafood Grayhawk

Seafood lovers will be hooked on Chula Seafood’s new monthly specials. With the arrival of May comes all-new, fresh-caught specials at each Chula Seafood location. The following specials are now available: 
Rosie, South Scottsdale Ginger Sesame Noodle Bowl $22-$32, depending on bowl size
Rice noodles in a tangy ginger sesame dressing with cucumbers, carrots, edamame, baby bok choy, jangajji pickles, and choice of ahi or salmon. This dish is finished with miso vinaigrette, scallions, white onion and toasted sesame seeds.

Uptown Phoenix
Red Crab Ravioli, $36
Ravioli filled with red crab, ricotta con latte, fresh basil and mint, served over a creamy pea purée and garnished with sautéed peas, roasted cipollini onions, lemon butter and Grana Padano.
In addition to this dish, guests can raise a glass to the new cocktail of the month. The Irish Ginger Lemonade features Jameson Irish Whiskey, ginger purée, fresh lemon juice, a splash of club soda and is garnished with a lemon twist.

Watermelon Avocado Poke Salad $21-$28, depending on bowl size and protein selection (or no protein)
Diced watermelon, avocado and baby gem lettuce tossed in a tamari vinaigrette and topped with yellowfin tuna poke and finished with cilantro, radish sprouts, serrano chiles, sesame seed, sesame oil and masago.

As part of Capital One’s continued effort to bolster financial literacy and support its customers and communities, the Capital One Café at <a href="https://www.capitalone.com/local/scottsdale-fashionsquare/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Scottsdale Fashion Square</a> is hosting a series of free FAFSA workshops.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Scottsdale Civil War Roundtable will host Neil Chatelain, speaking on ”Treasure and Empire in the Civil War: The Panamá Route, the West, and the Campaigns to Control America’s Mineral Wealth.” This is the story of the unknown and overlooked Civil War campaigns waged over whether the United States or Confederacy would dominate lands, mines, and seaborne transportation networks of North America’s mineral wealth. Neil P. Chatelain is an associate professor of history at Lone Star College – North Harris and vice president of the nonprofit Emerging Civil War, which trains and mentors emerging voices in the field of Civil War studies. Before teaching, Neil served as a surface warfare officer in the United States Navy. His book, Treasure and Empire in the Civil War, won the 2025 A.M. Pate Jr. Award in Civil War History. The lecture will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Copper Auditorium located on the lower level of the Civic Center branch of the Scottsdale Public Library, 3839 N Drinkwater Blvd., Scottsdale. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. providing an opportunity to meet the speaker, browse our book sale, and view Civil War videos. Parking is free at the adjacent sub-level covered parking garage accessible off northbound Drinkwater Blvd. The public is welcome, free of charge, to attend the monthly meeting of the Scottsdale Civil War Roundtable.
