Here are the top 3 stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. An allegedly impaired driver hit the Uber ride that 41-year-old Ross Farnsworth was in on his way from a concert at the Phoenix Open Sunday night. AZ Family reported, "The family is frustrated Todd did the right things and got a ride home, but the other driver was careless...he was doing what he could to be responsible. A family man and active Mesa resident, Todd was, reportedly, "the go-to person in the family." The investigation is continuing. (Arizona's Family)
  2. Scottsdale Unified School District needs bus drivers! There are 20 open positions, according to Fox 10 news. "First time in our history here in Scottsdale that a couple of weeks ago we had to cancel routes due to not having drivers," said district operations supervisor David Jacobson. Jacobson claims that the shortage is the worst that he has ever seen in his 11-year career. Interested? Apply here. (FOX 10 News Phoenix and Patch)
  3. Tammy Fisher is a kind of Cupid for couples in long-distance relationships unable to connect. The Scottsdale travel agent worked her magic for Jeff and Victoria Asher, who were away for almost a year, according to KPNX. The online relationship, which began in 2020, was sunk by COVID. Fisher helped the couple reunite, and eventually, wedding bells were heard. "There's a lot of long-distance relationships that I've' had to figure out how to navigate these people seeing each other," said Fisher. "It was really hard to navigate over COVID because every country had a different rule." (12news.com KPNX)
