• NFL Hall of Fame Honors Retired Colonel on Mission to End Veteran Suicide (military.com) — A Sierra Vista veteran support center just earned national recognition, as the NFL Hall of Fame honored Air Force veteran Tim Kirk for his work at Warrior Healing Center helping local veterans navigate benefits and fight isolation. With about one in four adults in Sierra Vista having served, the center partners with dozens of groups to build community and reduce veteran suicide through connection rather than more clinics. 
• Ariz. Construction Added 300 Jobs in March (azbex.com) — Construction and mining employment in the Sierra Vista–Douglas area ticked up in March, adding about 100 jobs for a total of 2,100 positions. The gain comes as Arizona’s overall construction sector added 300 jobs statewide, even while several other industries and local governments saw modest employment declines compared with last month and last year.
