TUCSON, AZ — Tucson residents will not see any changes to residential trash and recycling pickup when the city observes Juneteenth on Friday.

According to the city, all residential customers will continue to receive trash and recycling service on their regular schedule that day.

The city also said the Los Reales Sustainability Campus and landfill services will be open Friday.

Collection service will run as usual, but Tucson city offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. Residents who need help from Environmental Services Customer Service won’t be able to reach staff in person that day.

Customers can still leave a message for Environmental Services Customer Service at (520) 791-3171 or email EShelp@tucsonaz.gov.

Residents who want to double-check pickup dates or track future collection changes can view holiday collection schedules online. Customers can also use the free Recycle Coach app to get notifications about trash, recycling, and Brush & Bulky collections.

For most households, the main takeaway is simple: curbside trash and recycling service will continue without interruption even though city offices are closed.

Residents looking for schedule information can check the city’s online holiday collection resources or the Recycle Coach app.
