2. Col. Joseph V. Spitler Jr. (pagevalleynews.com) — A longtime Tucson resident, retired Army Col. Joseph V. Spitler Jr. is remembered for his military service, teaching at Pima Community College, and deep involvement in local hiking, church, and volunteer communities.
