• How a century-old law still builds Arizona's future through BLM-managed public lands (blm.gov) — A federal law called the Recreation and Public Purposes Act is helping shape parks and public facilities across Arizona, including the planned Vulture Mountain Recreation Area near Wickenburg. A 2019 lease unlocked over 1,000 acres there for future amenities like a nature center, RV camping, equestrian facilities, and an outdoor amphitheater, potentially adding a major new recreation draw for local residents. 
• GOP lawmakers appeal ruling to provide more funding for Arizona public schools (kjzz.org) — Wickenburg schools are directly named among districts in a major lawsuit over whether Arizona is underfunding basic school facilities and equipment. Republican legislative leaders are appealing a judge’s order to overhaul the statewide funding system, arguing it oversteps legislative powers and could cost billions, while school advocates say deteriorating buildings and unsafe conditions demand timely fixes.
